How does the future of human interaction,education and building a startup look like?

First of all, thank you for reading this. It means you are the future “citizen” of Vriendly and you either “bashing” your head on to the walls on how to start a successful company or how to meet people in your professional area in these crazy times or even you just got fed up with the education system that has not changed in its core ,since the ancient times:).

Well, I have good news for you. First let me introduce myself so we build a meaningfull connection. Believe me, that works all the time. My name is Ulvi and I am the Founder and CEO at Vriendly and you better take my words seriously as building a company from non-recognized country,raising money and growing are not that easy. Are you still with me? Lets dive in then :).

I divide the story into 3 parts. Pay attention so you can grab all the info you need.

Part 1: Redemption from our monitor-based “prison”?

So what happened last year?Pandemic hit us hard,right? It showed all “underwater traps” that need more personalized approach and tactics. And even before that human interaction needed a revolution. We - humans are not programmed to interact without physical presence and when we do it without seeing our faces,emotions and body language, something starts to be missing. Yes, you got that right . It has to be more real…

Whether it is meeting with a colleague or attending a lesson or even pitching to investors, it has to be more immersive and human-alike. What happens if we forget our core instincts? We fail and fail miserably. There comes to the scene technology called XR(and in our case, virtual reality).Have you ever tried a virtual reality headset and felt yourself in a “world” where there are no boundaries, limits, stereotypes and you can feel something “special” about yourself ? We- humans are more creative when not “schakled” with structured paths. So if you still do not own one, I recommend to own a headset.

Now you understand what is my point. But please do not rush to deduce and read until the end.

Part 2: Aristotle never wanted us to be that steady-mindy.

Before writing about what is happening today, lets wear our headsets and travel back in time to Ancient Greece. Do you see the Acropolis and the man sitting there circled with children? Yes, he is Aristotle. One of the early bright minds of humanity. They are in the middle of a lesson and see what happens now when someone wants to ask a question. He raised his hand and asks permission. His teacher accesses him permission. Any similarity with your university or local district school? Do you feel that? Perfect, now let’s leave before they understand we are from different reality :).

And now back to what we learned. Yes, you got that right once again. We have been developing dozens of technological tools to advance us in our daily lives and education as well,however the core concept has never been changed which is, classrooms still exist( I know they are fancy but does not change the fact :) ), you have to fit in in order to have your diploma,then search for a job,pay school loan debt and retire. Then what? Do you think that is what education really means? So I am giving how VRIENDLY envisions the education for the next 3 decades - It has to be felxible,meeting your needs,you learn what you need to, not what you are told to. It also has to be free and supported by government so startups and companies can focus on building the future. This where, I as a founder put all my life into stake! To change things not for the better but to a different reality.

Part 3: Building a fake “unicorn” or hustling to change lives of people in a metaverse?

Everyone wants to build a company and become a unicorn. Why unicorns? Is it because they are rare or hard to produce or people want fame,success or money more that seeing a happy customer army?

Let me tell you our story and vision. Do not ever,ever,ever,ever,ever X 1 000 000 times, start a company to become this. It should be for that purpose. And do not try copy already succesfull people but learn from them. Just have your own style.

I will tell you what happens when you hit the right “chord”. First you will feel burning desire and even tears when you imagine how it will become valuable tool for users and then you start doing it by following the already invented steps. Be a creator first and then it will bring a financial tool called “money”.

And what do you need now? Right, product,investors,customers and connections to become succesfull. What if I tell you that virtual reality is the most promising tool for that? Who you wanna meet? An investor,just talk to him and keep the presence? What if he is thousands of miles away in another country and you need to pitch him? Maybe have a little bit chit-chat and show the product demo and product itself? What if you even do not know him?

Right, you need a space(better if it is spatial one) where you would have investors,community members and other startups as well to meet,learn and build. Is it all about meeting or what? Just tell me.
